Owner/ Guide/ Photographer
Growing up in Hungary as a young teenager I spent my summers hiking, camping and learning about nature, wildlife and conservation. After getting my college degree in Animal Science & Agricultural Engineering from the University of Godollo in Hungary, I continued my studies at Purdue University. During my graduate school years I worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Biology Department at Purdue. Later I moved to Southern California where I continued to enjoy and photograph the local wildlife and the natural beauty of my favorite spot, Lake Hodges in San Diego County. Today I spend my time between San Diego and roaming Scotland, where I also offer small group ours to the Highlands and Isle of Skye for nature photography.
Being an avid outdoor enthusiast helped me fuel my appreciation for the natural world. My interest in photographing wildlife is to being able to share with others who may not otherwise get
My first experience with cameras started 25 years ago with those "old" film cameras. I've even developed my own film in my photo lab. Moved to digital cameras with interchangeable lenses years ago and settled with Canon gear.
Photography is an adventure, just like life itself. Come join me on this journey exploring the beautiful world of wildlife and landscapes around San Diego County in California and Scotland, United Kingdom.
I offer guiding, photography tuition, and print sales. All photography tours & workshops are suitable for all levels of photographic skill or experience. Both group and private, one on one sessions available. For more info click on the Photo Tours Tab.

Guide / Photographer / Ranger
David has been the Senior Park Ranger for the San Dieguito River Park for 18 years and has worked around Lake Hodges for close to 25. He is a great photographer/ tour guide and brings a vast amount of knowledge about both the birds and animals that reside and season around the lake as well as the many native plants that make up the parks ecosystem.
He has taken a particular interest in one of Lake Hodges full time residents the Western/ Clarks Grebes and is able to spot and identify their many unique behaviors. He guides clinets of KS Nature Photography around and on the Lake to capture that perfect photo of the Grebes rushing.
His job has also made him a superb spotter and he is very aware of what’s in or around the park. If it’s in the area he will more than likely find it for you!
David joined our growing team in 2018 and is the co-leader for all KS Nature Photography Scotland Tours. He was born in Scotland and spent many years there before moving to California. He knows this beautiful land and her history very well!
